Well this has been a really busy time of the year. I have been busy both at work and at home trying to get ready for Christmas. I started making my Christmas cookies the beginning of December and have about 4 more batches to make. Thankfully, I have a very cool basement that I can put them in to keep them until Christmas. I have also been busy buying and wrapping presents. I told myself that I would wrap presents as they come in the house instead of trying to wait until the last minute to wrap. So far I have done pretty good. I just have a few that I have not been able to get to.

This past weekend my Mom and I went to a tea that my sister-in-law, Karen, organized. It was at a place called the Grayson House. It was very nice and we learn how tea started and what you are supposed to do at a proper tea. It was alot of fun and a good holiday thing to do.

Well the weather here has turned really cold, but then again it is November and almost turkey day. This past weekend we had my grand nieces third birthday party. All the kids came dressed as princesses or princes'. We have snow white, sleeping beauty, cinderella and prince charming (l to r). Hannah, my grand niece is the second from right.

Hi there, it has been awhile since I posted. Not much going on. I have been working on my nieces wedding quilt and also some placemats that I will be giving her when she starts having showers next spring. I will post pictures of both when I get then done. The wedding quilt blocks are the churn dash block and it will be a king size quilt. I have three more blocks to make then I can put the top together. I would like to get together with my sister-in-law and other niece and have them help me with the layout of the blocks, more color wise than the actual layout. I did finish one of my stitch alongs that I was doing with Oakhaven Designs. Here it is.

Well that is about all for now. Have a great day.

What a week. The weekend was a busy one, many errands and going to the Georgia Quilt Show out in Gwinnett County. It was a great show and I got several small items, including a new cutting matt for 30% off and also a really nice pair of Gingher (sp?) scissors for $20!!! Could not pass that one up. Sunday everything that I had planned to do I did not as both DH and I were sick. Probably to much rich food as we went out Saturday night to celebrate DH's birthday which was yesterday. This weekend we are going to our youngest nieces' engagement shower, that is Sat. afternoon and will probably just kill doing anything that day. Here are a couple of pictures of two of the three grand hotels that are still up in the New England area. The one on the left is the Mt. Washington Hotel and the one of the right is the Balsam's Hotel.

Well here it is another week. I am back from our vacation to Vermont last week. What a great time we had. The leaves were just past peak but still really pretty. We left a week ago last Friday, driving up as we had to two dogs with us and DFIL. The drive itself was an easy one, thankfully. We arrived in Vermont on Sat., Oct. 4 around 5ish, after stopping in Norwich, VT at one of my favorite places, The Baker's Store http://www.kingarthurflour.com/shop/landing.jsp?go=Home. The weather up there was just right, not to cold and not to hot. We did alot of driving around sight seeing and enjoying being away from Atlanta. Upon returning home I had lots of quilty things waiting for me. I had a block from one of my swap groups and 5 international siggies from another group that I am doing. I need to get pictures up of all of them and our vacation. Here is one though of me and the boys. Also here a picture of a Belted Galloway Cow. Love these cows and they cant be found except in New England.

Good morning everyone from sunny Georgia where we are in the midst of a gas shortage, although they say that it is getting better and that all the Q-Trips will have gas today, we will see if that actually comes true.

One of the things that I have been doing is an International Siggy through the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler list. It is so much fun and I have only just received 6. Here are the ones that I have so far. I do have another 2 at home that I need to take pictures of. I guess that makes eight that I have so far.
